On June 7, the first batch of domestically produced 50-meter steel rails for the Hungary-Serbia railway project were supplied by China Railway Materials. After more than two months of "rail-sea-rail combined transportation", China Railway Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel successfully arrived at the Sayerovo track-laying base in Serbia and successfully delivered it, marking the first time that domestically produced 50-meter-long rails have set foot on the European continent, and the "going out" of China's railway products has once again achieved fruitful results.
In the journey of domestically produced 50-meter-long steel rails "crossing the ocean", China Railway Materials Hungary-Serbia Project Department, Logistics Industry Development Center, Rail Group, Tendering Company and other affiliated institutions worked together , actively leveraged its professional advantages in railway material management and comprehensive logistics, determined supply plans, optimized cross-border logistics and transportation plans, integrated multi-party logistics resources, solved many problems, and achieved many "firsts."

Determine the plan for the first supply of 50-meter rails to Europe
As China’s first railway project built in the EU, the UIC-60E1 rails for the Hungary-Serbia Railway must be Passed EU TSI certification.
China Railway Materials took advantage of its professional advantages in railway material management and comprehensively considered various factors such as production, quality, and transportation to draft 50-meter rails for direct production and delivery at Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel.
China Iron & Steel and Baotou Steel carried out technical research and applied the all-purpose rolling process to the production of 60E1 rails for the first time.
From February 5th to 8th, the Serbian Railway Bureau conducted a factory inspection at Baotou Steel. The test results all met the contract requirements and were highly recognized and praised by the owner.

The 50-meter rail railway transportation solution was launched for the first time
Due to the particularity of the 50-meter rail specification, my country currently lacks a mature 50-meter rail transportation and loading reinforcement solution. Transporting 50-meter rails from steel mills to ports has become the first domestic logistics problem.
China Iron & Steel, together with multiple cooperative units, completed the review and acceptance of trial operation tests such as static load, impact and braking, etc., as well as test reports, and obtained plan approval over a period of 3 months. .
On March 7, the first 50-meter rail flat car set supplied to the Hungary-Serbia Railway left the Baotou Steel Factory and was sent to Tianjin Lingang.

The 50-meter rail “crossed the ocean” for the first time
China Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. coordinated the seamless and efficient operation of relevant parties on March 17 On the same day, the first batch of 6,509 tons of 50-meter rails for the Hungary-Serbia Railway Project successfully sailed from Tianjin Port in China.
During the more than 2-month voyage, China Iron & Steel always paid attention to the dynamics of the ship, planned the optimal plan based on the follow-up transportation plan, and won the support of all relevant overseas parties.
On May 22, the ship loaded with 50-meter steel rails smoothly docked at the only railway berth No. 11 of the Port of Koper in Slovenia, and unloading was successfully completed on May 26.

Slovenia-Serbia
50-meter rails were transported across three European countries for the first time
From the port of Koper in Slovenia to the track laying base in Serbia, passing through Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia railwayTransport, the first of its kind in Europe.
With the help and support of China Railway International Corporation and the Hungarian-Serbian Railway Consortium Project Management Department, China Railway has integrated core resources such as special plates and supporting bogies to formulate a plan for European over-limit cargo. The loading and reinforcement plan for railway transportation ensured the smooth connection of all links, realized the circulation of three trains, and successfully achieved the scheduled arrival of the first batch of domestically produced 50-meter rails.
China Iron & Steel actively implements the “One Belt, One Road” initiative and undertakes the task of material agency integration services and 23,000 tons of rail supply for the Hungary-Serbia Railway. It will follow up with high-standard positioning and efficient actions.
